Start(up) the party

This coming Friday, September 29, the GW Innovation Center is hosting a student happy hour. This is taking place in their new innovation center in Tompkins Hall (room M406) from 4:30-6:30 p.m. There will be food, drinks (for those 21+), and demonstrations of what the startups have been working on. Also, Lean Quatifah will be DJ-ing the event!

The center is a student organization that focuses on collaboration, mentorship, and resources for campus entrepreneurship. They partner with many groups, which range from student startups to D.C. companies to the GW Office of Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

Sarah Shavin, a member of the team, stated in an email, “Last spring, SEAS donated a room in Tompkins Hall -- it's been a success so far! We're seeing increased engagement in student orgs, workshops, speakers and social events, and for the first time, we're working with nontraditional entrepreneurs like musicians, designers, journalists, the list goes on.”

There’s so much innovation happening on campus, so this is a great opportunity to learn more about it and maybe even get inspired?
